Vermont Villas is located in South Escondido at the intersection of Escondido Blvd, Sunset Drive and Vermont Avenue. Vermont Villas were built as condos (NOT apartments that were later converted) and first occupied in 1980. Each condo is individually owned and each owner is a member of the Vermont Villas Homeowners Association, run by five volunteer owners elected by members for two-year terms to serve on the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors retains a management company to handle the day-to-day aspects of maintaining the community and to guide the Board in dealing with corporate documents, legal items, budgets, reserve studies, maintenance, service calls, projects, and other community needs. The management company acts at the Board's direction. The Board's purpose is to maintain the community in a financially responsible way, and to manage the community owners' investments in the property. The Board attempts to make sound, safe, and wise economical decisions for all owners and residents.

two bedroom and 44 one bedroom units. Each condo owner shares common areas such as sidewalks, grassy and
landscaped areas, a swimming pool, spa,
restrooms, a clubhouse, a tennis court, a half basketball court, and a pickle ball court. Certain components of
each
building are common as well, such as the roofs. The complex is solidly constructed with concrete slab
floors on both upper and lower levels and double-insulated walls
separating each unit.
There are four condos in each two bedroom building; two on top and two on the bottom. All two bedroom condos have the same floor plan. Upper units have skylights in both bathrooms and two windows in both bedrooms while lower units do not. Each two bedroom condo comes with two reserved parking spaces, one covered and one uncovered, and a large outside storage bin at the covered space.
All one bedroom buildings except one contain eight condos; the other one bedroom building has four. Each one bedroom condo comes with a full bathroom, a reserved covered parking space and large outside storage bin.
Vermont Villas offers some of the largest one bedroom and two bedroom condos in Escondido. The two bedroom is 1200 square feet, while the one bedroom is 800 square feet. All condos come with a wood-burning fireplace, central air and heat, patio, and full size washer & dryer hookups in a closet on the patio.
